Q: How do I add the Junxure Action ID (JX ID) column in Outlook for Version 7?

A: The Outlook Action ID is extremely helpful because, at a glance, you will be able to tell whether Junxure has automatically captured and copied an email.  When an email is captured in Junxure, a copy of that email is recorded in an action and an action ID# is assigned to that action.  From Outlook, you are able to tell that an email was successfully captured in two ways:

1. When you highlight an email, the Action ID button, as circled in red below, will show the assigned Action ID number for that email.

2. If you add the JX ID Column, as highlighted in yellow, the Action ID number will show in that column for each email that was successfully captured.  


 



How to Add the JX ID Column

Important: Each folder or subfolder, for your "In Box"  or "Sent Items" only, must show at least one captured email in that folder in order for the JX ID field to be available to select.  You will have to add JX ID  column for all mail folders.

  • Right click on any column heading in your inbox, (ex: From, Subject, etc.)
  • Select "Customize Current View".




  • Select "Fields" 

  • Select from pull down menu "User-defined fields in folder".
  • Highlight from the left side: "JX565ID" (This JX ID will be different than shown as the number will be your support ID)
  • Select "Add" button and then it will move to right side.   Select OK
  • Select the "Move Up" or "Move Down" button to position the fields in your preferred order.



  • If you would like to remove the comma separator, you can click on Format Columns and change the default format to "Raw" for the JXID field.




  • You will now see the JXID Field, with or without the comma.




  • Q: Help! I am using Junxure version 7 and a client record has magically disappeared. Where did it go?

    A: There are two reasons why the record may not be available to view:

    1. Check Your User Rights

    Check your security settings to see if you have access to view that particular record. For more information, please view our video on User Rights.

    2. Check for a Deleted Record

    You may have accidentally deleted the contact record. On the contact form, if you select the red X button (as circled below), you will delete that record. If that happens, know that Junxure doesn't delete a contact record, Junxure only archives the record. 

    Fortunately, you will have the ability to restore the archived contact record.   Before you restore a contact record, it is always important to check with your office to make sure you have permission to use this feature to restore a deleted record, and that you adhere to any established operating procedures.




    To restore a deleted (archived) contact record, go to the Main Menu>Database Tools>Data Cleanup/Correction> View Archived Deleted Clients.



    Choose the contact you want to restore from the list. Then select "Restore Client". The contact record can now be accessed.
